Below Stone Nest

We are currently undertaking some maintenance work that will disrupt our usual opening hours, meaning we will close frequently over the coming weeks. Please keep an eye on our instagram for our adjusted opening hours and dates.

Below Stone Nest is a bar with live music and a short, considered, accessible drinks list including classic cocktails and a rotating selection of wines from the cellars of Brunswick House. A late night dive bar with exposed walls and hauntingly beautiful interiors, in the heart of the West End. Below is a nod to Soho’s past — a vibrant, bohemian, welcoming social space for underground candlit gatherings, special occasions and intimate gigs. The bar is a collaboration between two of London’s most loved restaurateurs, Frank and Jackson Boxer, and arts organisation Stone Nest.

The music programme is commissioned by Stone Nest in collaboration with guest curator Tic Zogson.

“There aren’t many candlelit, subterranean cocktail bars hidden underneath Grade-2 listed chapels in central London. In fact, there’s only one... It really is quite something, bringing some serious dilapidated chic A-game with crumbling stonework flecked by eons of peeling paint, and wooden ceilings held aloft by cast iron pillars”

“This is a turn up for the books. You don’t normally think of Shaftesbury Avenue when you’re looking for a cool place to drink in the West End. But a new dive bar being opened by the Boxer brothers, Frank and Jackson, sounds like it’ll be the hottest place to be this autumn”
