Acclaimed as composers as well as instrumentalists, sharing multiple awards and numerous albums as leaders between them, saxophonist Alex Hitchcock and guitarist Ant Law have created a startlingly vivid new soundworld in their trailblazing group Same Moon in the Same World.

Returning for the EFG London Jazz Festival, the quartet presents a special one-off performance here at Stone Nest. Joined by special guests, Hitchcock and Law bring together an exceptional band for an evening of adventurous new music as part of the city’s annual celebration of jazz.

Ant Law was listed as a Rising Star in the Downbeat Critics Poll 2026 and called “a game changer” and “an innovator” in The Guardian. His ninth album ‘Unified Theories’ was Jazzwise magazine’s editor’s choice, receiving a 4.5 star review.

London-born Alex Hitchcock is a leading international voice on the saxophone. An Ivor Novello-nominated composer, he was described by BBC Jazz World as 'leading the charge in terms of new jazz music being created in the UK'.
